What is your story?
Welcome to My World: A Journey in Words
I'm Saidi, and I’m excited to share a piece of my world with you. If we haven’t met before, consider this your introduction to my thoughts, stories, and a bit of what makes me tick.
I thrive on rejecting the limitations others might try to impose on me, embracing the art of freethinking and the noble pursuit of contrarianism. Writing is one of my passions, though I’m not a professional writer - just someone who loves to explore ideas and emotions through words. I’ll admit, sharing my writing makes me a little insecure, but the joy of connecting through language always wins out.
I’m multilingual, and I don’t quite have a "first" language. Along with English, I speak German and Sierra Leonian Krio. This linguistic mix reflects my identity as a cultural smorgasbord. I’ve lived in various countries and cities, each experience adding layers to my perspective. I firmly believe there’s no better education than immersing oneself in different cultures, learning from the diverse ways people see the world.
Running is another passion of mine, but it’s more than just a way to stay fit. For me, running is a meditative practice, a time when my thoughts flow freely, and my creativity is sparked. The stories and characters you'll encounter here often have their beginnings on these runs, where ideas are born and later fused with other inspirations—whether from songs, people, friendships, or literature.
What you’ll find here is a blend of all these elements, carefully crafted and served for you to enjoy. So, without further ado, let’s dive in!

"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you."

"The art of storytelling is the art of convincing people that they know you, even when they don’t."
— Scott Adams
Artistic Life vs. Conventional Life
If you want to be a grocer, or a general, or a politician, or a judge, you will invariably become it; that is your punishment. If you never know what you want to be, if you live what some might call the dynamic life but what I will call the artistic life, if each day you are unsure of who you are and what you know you will never become anything, and that is your reward.
- Oscar Wilde
“The best stories are the ones that make you think.”
— Neil Gaiman
